Tarot as A Language
I often say that tarot is a practice that inherently encourages empathy. It’s true that we all may have different interpretations of the same cards. Our reading styles are, after all, often forged through our own personal experiences and lenses. One person may see The Tower as a life-changer, and one may see The Tower in their day-to-day shifts and small ebbs and flows.
Why Tarot Decks Have Different "Personalities” & What That Means
When I talk about my Prisma Visions tarot, I warn clients that it's kind of a "rude deck." It's bold, it's less likely to sugarcoat, and it's the most likely one to point out a difficult situation without showing you the light at the end of the tunnel. I like to use it for situations that clients inform me are already extremely difficult or on the heavier side, because then I know I'm getting an honest, raw depiction of the situation at hand.
