Storybook Session
“Storybook session” readings are creative, intuitive, and divination-rooted works that begin with a typical tarot reading, and are delivered to you in 3rd-person perspective in a fictional tale/setting, as if you are reading a story about yourself as the protagonist.
Despite the fiction, metaphors and analogies to alternate settings and concepts are still meant to match your real energy.
These sessions are rooted in my personal belief that tarot helps us understand ourselves and relays our experiences back to us in a way that hits our blind spots, articulating pieces of our narrative that we sometimes miss.
Most readings are delivered in the format of a short story, each being lovingly crafted and wholly unique, with no two meant to be alike. (Please note that these readings are shorter/smaller than other listings, with the price additionally reflecting labor of creative writing and storycrafting).
This is an email reading by default, delivered in PDF format. While a photo of the cards is provided, tarot cards will not be as overtly dissected like in a typical spread.
Options include:
Muse - $40: A main character dissection, but you are the main character. Rather than a story, this is akin to a personality reading, where I describe you, a fictional world and environment your energy could have grown up in, and the roles you play in your tale. (Tarot spread: 1-3 cards).
The Craft - $55: You hand me a skill, a hobby, career choice, or passion of yours, and I place it in the center of your tale. We explore the potential trials and tribulations you may have already faced, the “characters” you impact along the way, etc. This option is akin to a skill/gifts oriented reading. (Tarot spread: 5-7 cards).
The Legend - $85: You hand me a situation of your past, and I re-tell it with new eyes, in new settings, with new (but familiar) characters. This option is akin to a closure-oriented spread, designed to help you heal and move forward, or find clarity or understanding, in your previous experiences. (Tarot spread: 9-15 cards).
